When was the last time you truly disconnected from the hustle and bustle of work and everyday life to soak in the calming embrace of nature? With the demands of modern living, it is easy to forget how much our minds and bodies crave time outdoors. This International Mother Earth Day on 22 April, why not allow nature to rejuvenate your well-being for a change?

A peaceful walk through nature spots like the newly opened Mandai Boardwalk offers more than just a scenic escape; it provides an opportunity to recharge, alleviate stress and enhance both physical and mental well-being by reconnecting with the natural world.

A New Green Spot to Discover on This Little Red Dot

The Mandai Boardwalk is a 3.3 km scenic trail that winds around the edges of River Wonders and the Singapore Zoo, offering breathtaking views of the Upper Seletar Reservoir and the lush landscape beyond.

Opened to the public earlier this year, this free-access walkway provides a peaceful retreat for nature lovers to experience the beauty of local wildlife and the natural environment.

Accessible to everyone, the boardwalk is designed with wide paths for wheelchairs and strollers, making it perfect for visitors of all ages and abilities.

Up Close with Nature's Wonders

One of the standout features is the serene "Iora’s Nest," a peaceful lookout along the Mandai Boardwalk. Designed to reflect the nests of the common iora, it offers a stunning view of the reservoir and the flourishing grasslands. This spot is ideal for birdwatching, allowing you to appreciate the diverse species of birds that call our beautiful island home.

A walk through the stunning nature trail also presents a rare opportunity to encounter wildlife that you may not typically see, including the crested goshawk, white-bellied sea eagle, Malayan water monitor, and more.

However, if you do come across such magnificent creations of Mother Nature, please remember to respect their space by observing from a distance, never feeding the wildlife and keeping habitats clean.

The Mandai Boardwalk is now open to all nature lovers seeking a peaceful escape daily from 7.00am to 7.00pm, with the last entry at 6.00pm.
